As a mom, a wife, a homemaker, a teacher, you don’t know what is going on from time to time. Having a planner that you can rely on is every mother’s dream. I mean, lets face it, we often forget our own birthday’s let alone this week’s menu. Having a good planner where you can write down appointments, menu, the grocery list, etc is a great tool that every mom needs. A planner not only helps you keep things lined up, but keeps your life a little more organized. So, few weeks ago, when I was asked to review both the 2013 and 2014 planner from Homemakers Friend I totally jumped on board. I was so relieved when God placed these wonderful people in my inbox to help me be organized with my time and my commitments .
When I first received these planners, I fell in love with them. They are so beautiful. Each planner was spiral bound but the cover was very sturdy and has 7 areas you can focus on. Each cover on the 2013 and 2014 Daily Planner is different as well as the colors, Scriptures, and quotes on the insides. You can either plan by year, month, or week. You can list your tasks, projects, loved ones information, and in the back you have your grocery list. You can even tear the page out and take it with you! I am impressed because not to many planners think of that (well, none that I ran across from anyway). The very back pages also has little pockets that you can stick coupons in.
Each section of the planners are beautifully decorative and has plenty of writing space as well. The picture just above shows the weekly part of the planner and the top box focus’ on the list of task that needs to be done of the week, than your daily plan as well as menu for each day. The monthly section has the calendar of the month and it goes to December of 2013 (for the 2013 planner) and 2014 for the “14 planner. The yearly section has the 2013 and the 2014/2014 and 2015 mini calendars and then dates to remember for the months. The tasks section just has blank pages so that you can list any task that needs to be done or a list that needs to be made out. And the same goes with the project section of the book. Each section of the planner is divided off with a beautifully illustrated page with either a scripture or a quote to help you keep on focus. The 2014 planner comes with scriptures with each page in the weekly section as well.
The daily planner was designed by Sue Hooley. She is a wife and a mother of 6 children ranging from 4-20. Soon after she became a mother and a homemaker, she developed these daily planners to be a blessing to not only her and her family but to other moms and families as well.
I fell in love with these planners not because they are beautifully made but because my family and I needed some organization in our lives. With a husband and 3 children, we are raising and schooling, we are constantly going in four different directions. So far, these planners have been a big help to my family and I by providing us places to write down our appointments, menus, grocery list. Well, you name it, I probably wrote it down in it. Staying on board with everyone’s duties as a mom is exhausting, but to be the mother God wants us to be and to be the mother our kids need us to be, its important to remember what is going on and what we need to be careful doing.
I want to say thank you to Sue and her family for allowing me to be able to review and share these planners with my readers and future readers!
